There are many opportunities to participate and plan outreach events and activities to educate others on the island of Kaua`i.
The annual Farm Bureau Fair is held at the end of August and provides a wonderful opportunity to show people examples of Hawaiian native plants.
Speaking to Rotary Clubs, schools, and other organizations will help gain interest and awareness to the plight of many of Kaua`i’s endemic plant species.
Other publication tools, such as newsletters, brochures are also ways to educate and engage the community.
If you are interested in helping to plan or lead any of these events or feel that you have a special talent to share, please contact Kawika Viets at the email listed below.
Check out the KNPS calendar for ongoing events. |
